I enjoy owning my own company, but I was clueless when I started.  Maybe that inexperience is a good thing, to a point.  The pure rush of enthusiasm can overcome the harsh world of small business details. So, run with your idea, go for the gusto, and ask LOTS of questions to people who have already done it.  Those folks are the most unused resource you have.

People are often willing to share information to save you from simple mistakes.  Take your time and visit with a good bookkeeper, a business attorney, and yes, a marketing (advertising) company.  Many times they will offer a free consultation to help you along – we at Elliott Marketing will.  You just need to ask.
